Erik Bigglestone delivered and read the following letter at the BayCon Staff Meeting on January 10th, 2010. In the interest of full disclosure, I am making the choice to join others in making it public. While I did not write this letter, I endorse Mr. Bigglestone's message.

I have disabled comments because right now, I do not feel the need to discuss this in this forum. People know how to contact me privately if they have any questions or comments.

Kimberly "Kimmi" Allbee
Former Programming Division Manager
BayCon 2010

***UPDATE*** March, 2010: The tax issues have been resolved, ASI is once again legally allowed to do business in the state of California with a revived business license, and I agreed to return to finish the job of Programming Division Manager for BayCon 2010 in February. Since then, I have had NO time to do things like oh.... post entries to my blog? Lots of things going on- just not a lot of time to jot them down.

Announcement follows... )

I need to get this off my chest, and get it out in the open, and lay it all out so other people will understand.

This is BayCon stuff- if you're not interested... feel free to move along. I don't mind. =)

And it starts off with a Reminder... )
But I know people have been asking, and wondering, just what's been going on, and why I have gone totally off the map, and seemingly off the deep end to boot. I have been compiling this post for a number of days now, here and there when I was most unhappy, just to get it out of my system. I'm hoping that this will help to shed a little light on what's been going on, and maybe even allow folks to cut me just the tiniest bit more slack when it comes to how last-minute everything seems to be coming together...

I still hope it's going to be a wonderful convention, and I still look forward to being there.

Ooh! Look!

One of them has lots of cracks in it! The others are in need of some serious love! Please click on each of the eggs, so they don't die!

**EDIT** It hatched! I have a hatchling! Yay!

This journal once used to be an open, public read of my life. My woes, my joys, my trials and tribulations...

And my trust has been broken a few too many times for me to ever be that naive again.

If you truly want to know something about me- there's a way. And it's not through anonymously sifting through my past- it's by finding out who I am NOW, and getting to know the Me that is the Present.

Otherwise- I no longer want all and sundry to have access to the things I used to love, and feel, and value.

If you want on my Friends List... e-mail me. There's a chance.

All things change...
